Well, after a very trying day, the show went on as it must and I managed 30 contacts and 12 squares in tonight’s UKAC 70cm leg. Not bad given the heavy rain. This is on 432MHz which, for the non amateurs among us, is very close to PMR446. Tonight’s results – I managed Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man and France (see the map) – show the difference a 20 element beam makes! The scores should start appearing in the league table for Heckington and District Radio Group soon – whoop whoop!
